Halifax | Episode 22 | Steer City Cattle Company | Alien RPG
Welcome to Alien RPG: Episode 22 where Halifax picks up cargo from Steer City Cattle Company. Steer City Cattle Company is a small company out of Terraform 3 that provides draft animals and quality meat to Frontier colonies. However, what makes this particular colony unique is that they tend to a prison that houses around 120 prisoners. The prison is located a couple of miles away from the colony.
When Halifax arrives, most of the colony’s residents are out harvesting. Higa Jou, the colony representative, and a few other residents are all the remain at the colony.
New Earth History
The planet (HD-8551b) was discovered in 2011, Weyland Corp reached the planet in the early 2040s and opened a Class E Correctional Unit as a joint venture with the Three World Empire on August 18th, 2042, thus becoming the first mankind off-world prison. They begins the terraforming process in 2047, and a colony named New Earth was established after the end of terraformation in 2055. The colony became one of the most densely populated in the 2070s even reaching over 40 million people in the mid-22nd Century.[3] However, in 2157 the colony suffers a massive disease called the “New Earth Plague” and kills everyone in the colony. The planet and the entire system are condemned (HD 85512b).
New Earth 2.0
Steer City Cattle Company took over HD-8551b after letting the planet set dormant for a few decades. Multiple colonies have been built around the planet which are several hundred miles from each other. However, New Earth 2.0 has been designated as a home base.
What does MU/TH/UR think?
There are two sides to this episode. The part of the episode that you do see and the part of the episode that you don’t see.
What you do see is Halifax working on bettering itself and getting a bit acquainted with Steer City Cattle Company. Higa seems like a laid-back guy who wants to relax as much as possible while he runs the business.
What you don’t see is about an hour of a mess that took place after the crew went to sleep. You’ll have to wait until the next episode to find out what happened because we plan to redo that section in hopes that things go better. I’ll explain all this when I write the article for episode 23.
