Alien RPG

Welcome to Alien RPG and Halifax | Episode 32 | The Darkest Hour. Season three begins here. It’s been a few months since we have been at the end of season two. However, season three picks up right where season two ends with a cliffhanger that leaves a lot of questions about the fate of the crew of Halifax.

The Plan

I have a lot of plans left for the adventure of Halifax. Alien has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember and I have always wanted to explore the universe. This adventure is giving me the ability to make that happen and I’m not done telling my story yet.

The plan is to keep going for as long as there is a story to tell in combination with my players. My players still seem eager to continue to explore with me. I can’t ask for much more than that. With that said, I expect quite a bit more content.

The Connection

Halifax | Episode 32 plus the cliffhanger from Episode 31 sets up the stage to explore a new corner of our adventure. I am super excited to see how the crew handles the challenges that are before them. These challenges are new and different from the challenges they have faced before.

What does MU/TH/UR think?

Halifax | Episode 32 is brutal. Be prepared when going in. Even I was not prepared for some of the things that happen. Regardless, it’s a lot of fun.

I think season three is going to be a bit different than the past couple of seasons. However, the difference makes sense given the circumstances that the crew has gotten themselves into. I’m doing my best to avoid spoilers here. Let’s just say that it may take a while for Halifax to make its next delivery. Questions and concerns from interested parties may spark some unexplored territory in our adventure.

I’m extremely excited to move forward with our adventure. Exploring the Alien universe outside the bounds of the Xenomorph is a lot of fun. Since this is unexplored territory, I get to come up with a ton of content based on my creative talents. I hope you find exploring these uncharted territories as exciting as I do.

About Halifax: Precious Cargo betwixt Dragons and Ghosts

This is the story of Halifax, an M-Class Commercial Starfreighter under the ownership of Weyland-Yutani, a large multinational conglomerate. The Wey-Yu employed crew aboard Halifax takes on cargo delivery jobs that dispatch them across the Stars of the Middle Heavens. However, space is a dangerous place, and the unimaginable is bound to happen.

The story of Halifax is set within the Alien universe. We are a team of five and we work together to tell the story. Our adventure begins in the year 2179, the same year that Ellen Ripley is recovered from the Nostromo, survives LV-426, and then is lost on Florina 161.

Alien RPG is a tabletop role-playing game that serves as the framework that guides us through our journey. Halifax: Precious Cargo betwixt Dragons and Ghosts is based on a homebrew campaign written by Joseph Stader. Every episode features actual play with minimal editing.

Expect story elements regarding space-horror, sci-fi action, survival, and a sense of wonder. Gameplay consists of chance mixed with strategic planning. Every choice has a consequence. The right choice leads to another day where the wrong choice leads to panic, injury, or death.
